Hi! I hope any of are able to answear my following quiestions?
Chondritinsulfate have been used for some years now to reduse pain in joints, but no one seems to know why the patients get decreased pain when using this supplement! Is it possible that the sulphate component is the main pain supressor? If so ,why, how does it work?
In adwanse,Thanks! RIN

the chondroitin is part of a molecule found naturally that gives elasticity to cartilage--perhaps taking the supplement provides building blocks for manufacture of new cartilage formation?

I agree with Jim. It is not the sulphate.
Apparently, providing additional Glucosamine speeds up the repair and renewal of damaged or worn articulating cartilage whilst additional Chondroitin helps to neutralise the destructive enzymes and improve the quality of the synovial fluid.
