This a very interesting article published in Genetic Engineering News of June 15, 2005. It is under Point of view (page 6) and is to compare German scientists versus other scientists in Europe, somehow the survey show that German scientists are more conservative regarding issues related to genetics such as: abortion due to gene defect analysis, screening and confidentiality, somatic cell gene therapy, germ-line intervention, etc. Here I averaged out opinions of Germans and other europeans. Separately mentioned for example for the first Issue:
-To abort a severly mentally retarded, only 75% of German scientists would agree compared to 79% of the rest of scientists surveyed in Europe.
