We would like a recommendation on an independent cell culture lab that can do some work for us.  We to test whether cells are migrating/proliferating through some specific material.   Can you offer any suggestions?

Hi lifecore2,

A recommendation would depend on what type of testing you are looking to do. Do you need your test to be performed under GMP guidelines? Is the data generated to be submitted to the FDA or is it only for research purposes?

A company I used to work for, Lancaster Laboratories, has some experience performing cell-based assays. While I would not directly recommend them, they are the type of company that performs cell based assays under GMP guidelines.

 Lifecore,

Either I can do this or know of any number of groups that can, depending upon your specific needs.  I am not a saleman, just like to connect scientists.  Experience with 3D and Hollow fiber cell culture.

We do 3D cellular based assays and we do cellular adhesion and migration assays...would be more than welcome to talk.

Hi lifecore2,

At CellSpecific™, we have many years of cell-based assay development experience to efficiently evaluate drug mechanism of action (MOA) and drug biomarkers at the level of cellular function. We work closely with you to quickly determine drug effect and activity in validated cell systems and/or to develop and validate assays customized to your specific goals.

 Hello Lifecore2,

If you are still looking for labs to perform this assay for you, MD Biosciences has run many experiments similar to this in the past. I would be happy to discuss this with you in greater detail.

A list of some of the common assays we perform can be found here. We can use a wide variety of cell types and design a custom assay for you. http://www.mdbiosciences.com/by-assay-type/

You mention wanting to test cell migrating/proliferation through a specific material -  what material are you interested in and what cell system? Under what conditions are you looking to see if the cells migrate or proliferate?

Please drop me an email and we will discuss your specific requirements further.
