Hi, is there anyone who can advise me a cheap cell counter? We look for a simple one, we don`t need one with fluorescence (like facs or something like that).

Thanks!!

Yeah... I don`t meant a hemacytometer, that we already have.
I meant cell counter for example beckman coulter offers, but not that expensive.

Take at look at this device from New Brunswick

http://www.nbsc.com/products/cellcounters/NucleoCounter.asp

I dont know how much it costs, you will probably have to ask for a quote, or look for a second hand one.

I also looked on labX.com and searched "cell counter". They had listings for refurbished coulter devices, Baker lnstruments (Hematology Series 170) and Hycel devices (500 Cell Counter) that may fit you budget better.

Check out lwcientific.com and look at their product spec sheets. They have diff counters, microscopes and 50X oil objective to count cells easier.

Check out the Aber Live Cell Analyser 920 from Aber Instruments. It uses the electrical capacitance generated by live cells to obtain counts/index of biomass. Supposedly works with yeast, bacteria, fungi and animal cells in suspension or carrier matrix.
Don't know about pricing, but perhaps you can check their site for a quote.
