Respected Sir,

Please review the enclosed resume, which highlights the skills and accomplishments that will enable me to contribute to your  team.  During my studentship in Goa University, I have demonstrated superior work habits, and would appreciate the opportunity to take a research career under your supervision.

Throughout my studentship at Goa University, India, I frequently had the opportunity to use my skill set and I’m proud that, I and my supervisor was able to challenge the hot topics in  the areas of chemistry .  Besides this, I received an opportunity to work on a summer project at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India which yielded me a research publication in the hot areas of Hydrogen storage.  I enjoy the goal setting involved in my work, and applying my abilities to real-world situations. I also have proven ability with list other skills addressed in my CV, which I am called upon to use on a regular basis.

Thank you for taking the time to review my qualifications.  I would appreciate the opportunity to interview and answer any questions that you may have.

Yours Sincerely,
Amit A. Vernekar

Respected sir,

I am writing this letter to introduce myself. I am Ms. Sree Sandhya Yaramala and doing my MSc in organicchemistry in VIT (Vellore Institute of Technology) university, Vellore, Tamilnadu, India. I am currently doing my MSc project under the supervision of Prof. G. Mugesh in the Department of Inorganic and Physical Chemistry, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, India.
My MSc thesis work involves the Synthesis, Characterization and Antioxidant Activity of Amine- and Amide-based Glutathione Peroxidase (GPx) Mimics (organo selenium compounds).I am trying to synthesize some better GPx mimics exhibiting high antioxidant activities as compared to the existing mimics.  In last summer, I have done project on Functional Mimics of Metallo-β-lactamases and I also have idea on peptide synthesis. And in BSc third year I did project onEffect of growth regulators and vermicompost on the growth of Ocimum basilicum and its oil analysis by gas chromatography. Moreover, I have little industrial experience during my BSc second year. I have also worked on Catalysis and Mechanistic Studies of Ru(III), Os(VIII), Pd(II) and Pt(IV) Metal Ions on Oxidative Conversion of Folic Acid for a short-term period.
I am highly motivated with your research work and very keen to do my PhD research in your group. I believe that I will be a productive PhD fellow in your laboratory. Also, a PhD position in your group will give me an excellent opportunity to learn some new techniques and chemistry which will be advantageous for my future career.
My long term goal is to build an academic career and continue further research in chemical biology independently. Given an opportunity, I will prove my abilities and expertise. Should you require any other information, please let me know. I eagerly look forward to your response.
With regards,
Sincerely,

Sree Sandhya Yaramala
