Accorning to the litterature the Ebola virus causing hemorrhagic fever in Africa is a Filoviridae; pleomorphic, 80nm diameter and 970 nm in length ( can be up to 14,000 nm in length), helical nucleocapsid, nonsegmented negative ssRNA, enveloped. The virus shape looks like a worm, I wonder if any other viral pathogenes have been discovered that belong to the Ebola family. Each virus attacks a cell via an specific receptor. has anyone discovered receptor/s for the ebola virus?
