Lab Blogz #2: I'm Grumpy Today
Boy am I grumpy today. That's not a question, by the way, in case the punctuation threw you.
Professor Al Ruby told me that since I've started blogging, that I've got to continue blogging or everyone would be disappointed.
I was like, "Who is EVERYONE?"
He didn't have a good answer to that because he doesn't get on the internet much and doesn't really READ blogs.
So I can say things like, "HEY AL! What's with the Uni-brow? Are you a Neanderthal?" without him commenting on my receding hairline or my inability to grow a beard that doesn't make me look like a cross between a chihuahua and a Golden Lion Tamarin. Minus the cute, of course.
Anyway, I'm grumpy today. My experiment didn't work yesterday - AGAIN - which means I've now wasted ANOTHER day of my life trying to get a decent-looking chemiluminescent Western Blot.
Oh for the days when I only had to worry about excess P-32 leaving my Southern Blots with "blot disease' that was so bad I thought my nitrocellulose filters had leprosy.
But I digress...
No, the real reason I'm grumpy today is because I've had some kind of lower GI bug all week and JUST when I thought it was safe to go golfing last night after work, I discovered that it had been, at best, in remission. So there I was on the fairway about 100 yards out from the 6th hole when all of a sudden...
What?
Oh, really?
sigh
Alright.
Our lab tech, Dodds, just told me that nobody wants to hear that story, which I don't understand, because when I told my wife about it at breakfast this morning she laughed so hard her oatmeal came flying out her nose, so I figured...
What?
sigh
Sooo...I guess I have nothing specific to talk about after all.
But I'm still grumpy.
