In a first order reversible reaction, at a temperature T, the standard molar free energy is equal to -2.303 RT , the rate constant of forward reaction is equal to 1x10^-3 s^-1. How to calculate equilibrium constant and rate constant of backward rxn,,?
help me pls..

Hi Priya
I hope you are making us do yr Homework.
G=-2.303RTlogK
You can use this equation to derive Equilibrium constant.
Now, Eq constant is same for forward and backward Reaction.
rate constant for forward and backward reaction are related to equilibrium constant by relation
Kforward/Kbackward= equilibrium constant.
so yre answer is Kforward/Kequilibrium=Kbackward
