IMMUNOGENICITY.... HOW TO DETERMINE IN DIFFERENT ANIMALS

ARGERINE

Posted 5/5/2009 7:27:53 AM

Hi All

How can one determine that a particular protein from one animal is antigenic in other animal? For e.g I want to know if a particular protein of human origin is immunogenic in mice or not. Is there a particular way for detemining that.

Kindly Help.

My peculiar interest are human plasma protein against which i want to raise monocloal antibodies. However mice of Swiss Albino strain are not responding to the dose. What could be the cause????

How do you detect the presence of any resulting antibodies and after how long/how many doses of your protein do you look?
