Image Analysis Software for 2D

Dear All,
I wanted to let you know about the new Image analysis software from GE formarly Amersham.
I worked alot with the old version ImageMaster 2D Platinum v5 and it was realy great and very simple.
I have heard that lately a newer version is availble the No. 6.0.
Any one is using it.

I did not work with Image J a lot . So I can not tell you what are the capabilities of Image J in correlation to the Image Master which is specificaly designed for 2D.

 It looks like Image master

It looks like Image master is up to v7 now.

It does seem to me that if you were willing to invest the time to assemble some of the available plug-ins for image J a lab on a budget might be able to get something reasonably similar up and running, it just wouldn't be quite as pretty an interface

I guess so,

I guess so,
For 2 years now I am not into 2D anymore so I am out of the loop with the newest version.
Now for Image analysis of Histologic images I use a free software JMicroVision. I find it to be user friendly.
To tell you the trueth never understood Image J to its full  possibilities.
