Dear All,

We are pleased to announce that registration for the 21st International Conference on Arabidopsis Research (ICAR2010) is now open at:

http://arabidopsis2010.psc.riken.jp/

The ICAR2010 will take place on June 6-10, 2010 in Pacifico Yokohama

Yokohama, Japan.

The program will include eight plenary sessions and eight concurrent sessions which will include presentations chosen from submitted abstracts.
As in the past, the conference will feature a number of community-led workshops that will provide opportunities for focused discussion, whilst two poster sessions will provide ample time for research discussion. Delegates will also have a free afternoon between the Tuesday morning sessions and evening poster session to engage in networking, scientific discussion and to explore Yokohama and its surroundings.

The preliminary program is now confirmed and will include Drs. Maarten Koornneef, Elliot Meyerowitz, Motoyuki Ashikari, Kathryn Barton, David Baulcombe, Philip Benfey, Michael Bevan, Joseph Ecker, Ikuko Hara-Nishimura, Inhwan Hwang, Koh Iba, Dirk Inze, Tetsuji Kakutani, Steve Kay, Cris Kuhlemeier, Chentao Lin, Olivier Loudet, Makoto Matsuoka, Peter McCourt, Seung Yon Rhee, Kazuki Saito, Satoshi Tabata, Keiko Torii, Detlef Weigel, Shinjiro Yamaguchi and Qifa Zhang.

2010 will become a memorial year in Arabidopsis research because the international Arabidopsis 2010 project will be terminated. New projects in plant research based on Arabidopsis knowledge will continue beyond 2010 by international cooperation. The ICAR 2010 will highlight recent advances in Arabidopsis research and its translational research using crops and trees.
