Source of oil producing microalgae

Heya ppl,
I'm almost all set to start my final year project on biofuels from algae, but the problem is i'm stuck at the primary stage. I'd like to know what sample i need to collect in order to isolate oil producing algae?? will polluted sea water do??

1st search for the species

1st search for the species that produce oils in the sea or other places, the look for the people who can can get the samples. you can contact people at NIO in India for more specific information at this address:
National Institute of Oceanography (NIO); Dona Paula - 403 004, Goa, India ; EPABX : +91 (0) 832 - 2450450; Fax : +91 (0) 832 - 2450602 & 2450603 e-mail : eval(unescape('%64%6f%63%75%6d%65%6e%74%2e%77%72%69%74%65%28%27%3c%61%20%68%72%65%66%3d%22%6d%61%69%6c%74%6f%3a%6f%63%65%61%6e%40%6e%69%6f%2e%6f%72%67%22%3e%6f%63%65%61%6e%40%6e%69%6f%2e%6f%72%67%3c%2f%61%3e%27%29%3b'))

Thank you 20101975...

Thank you 20101975...

Following is a list of some oil producing algae:
Botryococcus braunii
Prophyridium cruentum
Rhodotorula glutinis
Chlorella protothecoides
Chlorella vulgaris
Microcystis aeruginosa
Dunaliella tortiolecta

I found the isolation media for most of these strains but i wanna know the source of these strains? Also, i'd like know about any good sites containing info on the morphology and characterization of microalgal strains....
