DETERGENT ASSAY

Would like to know if there are assays for monitoring detergents to insure complete rinsing that are more convenient than spectrophotometric ones?

Spectroscopic method is the

Spectroscopic method is the most convenient method so far. Enzymic assay methods are quite accurate but are laborious. I don't think there are assay kits available. Good luck.

Thanks for the input--that was my suspicion but hav'nt kept up with the literature real well . Have you had any experience with the ribovflavin/uv light procedure? It sounds pretty quick--spike samples with riboflavin , wash, then examine with a "black" light.
