CCD as a microameter

I wonder whether anyone knows, or is in touch with anyone who knows.....

If I put a source of very low voltage currents on the surface of a bare, stripped CCD in the dark, will it pick up those currents and interpret them as a light input? I'm thinking of small damp organisms, and picking a signature from their electric muscle potentials as they move.

I wasn't sure where to post this one.

CCD sensors will not pick up

CCD sensors will not pick up the currents as light input. These devices work on the physical principle of "photoelectric effect", when light hits the sensor element it creates a small electric current and that charge created is collected in the pixel. By looking at the amounts of charge in the pixels, we can reconstruct what the image looked like. For more information read this interesting NASA article:
