An initiative of the Biomedical Research Council (BMRC) of the Agency for Science, Technology & Research (A*STAR), the Singapore Immunology Network (SIgN) has setup its premise at the Biopolis, Immunos Building (6000sqmt and ~150-200 researchers), SIgN aims to build up a strong program in immunology research in order to improve global understanding of the human immune system, and the translation of this knowledge into medical applications. Research Fellow/ Research Scientist (Structural Biology – Protein Crystallography)
One Research Fellow/ Research Scientist position is immediate availale at Singapore Immunology Network (for more information, please visit the institute website: www.sign.a-star.edu.sg), Singapore in the laboratory of Prof Ren Ee Chee.

Job Requirements:

  • Crystallographer with at least 2 years working experience;
  • Expertise in protein chemistry, crystallization, X-ray data collection, structure determination and model refinement is essential;
  • Experience in NMR is preferred;
  • Good knowledge of immunology, infectious diseases is an advantage; and
  • Strong publication track record

I am protein X-ray crystallographer. I have a Ph.D. degree in the same field from the dept of Biological Science, National Univ of Singapore (March, 2011). I have a three years of postdoctoral research experience from USA. 

Besides X-ray crystallography i have a expertise in molecular cloning and protein expression and purification and sevral other molecular biology techniques.
