development of organometallic complexes that function effectively for CO2 hydration in a post combustion CO2 capture solvent
environment.
The position requires a Ph.D. in chemistry from an accredited college or university. Prior experience in the CO2 capture research
field and related catalysts is highly desirable.
The ideal candidate should:
• Possess good understanding of chemical kinetics and mass transfer properties.
• Have good experience and ability to synthesize organometallic complexes.
• Possess proficiency with experimental design and execution.
• Have creativity and be able to formulate new research directions.
• Have understanding and ability to use computational simulation for catalyst design.
• Be able to work both independently and as a member of a research team.
• Have excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to present their work at scientific meetings and to
