Postdoctoral Position in Matrix Biology

A Postdoctoral Position is available in the Park laboratory at Children’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School focusing on molecular and cellular mechanisms of disease. Previous publications from our group include: Matrix Biol, 2012; 31: 3, JBC, 2011; 286: 3288, Blood, 2009; 114: 3033, Am J Pathol, 2009; 174: 509, JBC, 2008; 283: 35435, and JBC, 2008; 283: 19895. The successful candidate will conduct research to define the functions of proteoglycans, such as syndecans, in epithelial barrier function, microbial pathogenesis and host defense, and inflammatory disease.
Requirements include a Ph.D. or M.D. degree, strong interpersonal, communication and organization skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy, ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities to achieve desired goals, ability to work under minimal supervision, and a positive, can-do attitude. A strong background in molecular and cellular biology, glycobiology, small animal experiments, or translational research is desirable.
