A postdoctoral fellow position is available in the area of neurodevelopment and degeneration at Temple University School of Medicine. The focuses of research for this position are; (1) to understand cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying retinal (and ocular) development. In particular, we are interested in understanding the function of Hippo pathway components during CNS development. (2) To establish cell- and gene-based therapies for retinal degenerative diseases using a mouse model of Retinitis Pigmentosa and Leber Congenital Amaurosis
Candidates should have Ph. D. in Biological/Biomedical Sciences or related area. He/she is expected to be independent, highly motivated and fluent in English.
