Senior Sales Account Director - West Coast

 We currently have an opening for a Senior Sales Account Director. This high-performing individual will be responsible for initiating and managing sales into Organovo’s West Coast US region. This position focuses on establishing and maintaining market leadership and achieving sales objectives by identifying customer needs and providing solutions to create a partnership between the customer and Organovo. This position will serve & be based on the West Coast. 

Senior Sales Account Director Responsibilities: 
Responsible for establishing new business, growing & maintaining existing business towards achievement of territory sales goals and objectives consistent with company guidelines. 
Maintain a high level of planning, organization and territory administration. 
Develop & present reports/ data on sales results & market trends. 
Maintain an excellent level of product, market and customer knowledge. Develop business strategy and plans to accomplish sales objectives. 
Monitor activity versus the plan and take corrective action when necessary. 
Develop strong working relationships with the life science community, with a high science approach focused on identifying needs and providing solutions. 
Other Duties as assigned.

Senior Sales Account Director Skills & Experience: 
Requires a BS/BA (Ph.D. preferred) degree in Life Sciences with a minimum 10 years proven sales experience into the ADME-Tox Pharmaceutical and Biotech market. 
Strong rapport building skills. 
Must have a strong network of contacts within the ADME-Tox Pharma/Biotech market space. 
Must have ability to create and communicate a strong value proposition with potential customers/prospects. 
Must be proactive and results oriented with a strong customer service focus. 
Innovative and solutions focused. 
Experience in selling Life Science consumables and CRO services. 
Must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills with comprehensive experience using a modern CRM such as SFDC or Microsoft Dynamics CRM. 
Must be an energetic, enthusiastic, highly motivated team player with a demonstrated ability to “close” business. 
Ability to influence and inspire others to champion solutions/partnerships/ collaborations within their organizations. 
Must have strong negotiating skills. 
Must have ability to travel up-to 50% of the time.
