The Immunology Specialist for Rheumatology is accountable to achieve sales quota by delivering market share and market share growth, as well as other key metrics in the assigned Territory. The individual uses discretion and judgment to execute the franchise and company brand strategy and tactics within the assigned customer segment, which may include physicians within specialty medical practices and their staff, specialists within local hospitals, clinics, and pharmacists within a specific geographic area. The Immunology Specialist influences decision makers and influencers within assigned customers to support the use of the company's products in the treatment of relevant disease states by developing and applying clinical and business expertise, and effective selling skills. The Immunology Specialist influences decision makers by developing and delivering a targeted sales message based on accurate clinical information, uses approved medical reprints to support the case, and discusses therapeutic strategies to influence decision makers. The Immunology Specialist fully executes marketing strategies at the local level, leveraging resources appropriately and working successfully with company team members and counterparts to share ideas and information to enhance business results. Immunology Specialist is accountable to build customer loyalty by identifying and cultivating relationships with key decision makers at the local level who can influence decision making within the healthcare provider systems.

The Immunology Specialist will be responsible for attaining sales objectives for rheumatology products within the Janssen Biotech, Inc. portfolio. You will be presenting complex clinical and business information on the rheumatology portfolio to an audience of office and institutional based Rheumatologists, health care professionals, government agencies, professional and patient groups, health plans and others involved in the decision making process.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of a Bachelors degree with 2+ years relevant sales experience and/or related pharmaceuticals work experience required. Pharmaceutical and/or medical sales experience is preferred. Prior experience with injectable/infused products is a plus. The preferred applicant should have working knowledge of the immunology and/or rheumatology field. Prior experience managing through complex reimbursement issues is preferred. Prior Management Development courses are also preferred. Experience in project oriented selling situations in a high incentive and individual performance culture is preferred, along with a documented successful sales performance (high growth, results vs. plan). All candidates must have a valid driver's license issued in one of the 50 states along with a clean driving record.
