1. Prepare sales analysis through the data received from the regional teams and sharing the same with VP (S&M) and Marketing

2. Prepare sales forecast through sales analysis and assessment of product need generated in the market

3. Propose and discuss the national sales target to the Senior Management

4. Market Mapping and Market Assessment to assign zonal sales targets as per local market need and potential

5. Plan for the achievement of sales target through innovative market penetrating and market mining strategies

6. Continuously monitoring the achievement of the targets by keeping a close check on monthly target achievement by the respective teams

7. Identify weaker sales regions and areas and work with Marketing to strategize innovative marketing plans and techniques to improve sales and revenue in those regions

8. Ensure satisfactory resolution of customer queries and concerns in a swift and efficient manner

9. Devise product schemes and offers to quicken the product movement in the market or to move them off the shelf in case the stock is nearing the expiry date and communicate the same to the team for implementation and to the Marketing for effective publicity and to gain market attention

10. Discuss, Approve and communicate the planned inventory levels with the Regional Team and communicate the same to production department and Finance

11. Regularly interacts with customers for product feedback and to develop strong relationships with key decision makers within the customer organizations

12. Coordinates with the production department on any new product launches or key features improvement of the existing product line and communicates the same to the regional teams

13. Reviews sales activities status reports from the team on a weekly basis

14. Receives feedback from team and provides Product Development team and Marketing with valuable customer feedback on client engagements and product improvements.

15. Receives cost revisions based competitor product pricing from the Regional Team and discusses and analyzes the same with VP Sales and Marketing.

16. Proactively seeks from the team any ‘success stories’ within their regions and shares the same with other zonal and regional teams

17. Ensure timely generation of invoices and collections of payments at zonal and regional levels to reduce out standing’s within the zone

18. Undertake Performance appraisals of direct reportees and strengthen their performance through constructive feedback

19. Design and discuss the Sales Incentive Plan schemes to reward and motivate the sales force and communicate the same to the Team for implementation and circulation

20. To be a part of appraisals of all team members this includes direct and indirect reportees

Desired Profile    

The candidate should be preferably a Science graduate with Masters in Sales and Marketing and approx. 7 to 8 Years of Experience. Currently handling national level Sales in prescribing people industry or Doctor interface industry.
