Purpose of the Position: Works with the senior organization effectiveness manager to ensure talent development and organization effectiveness programs/processes/services are aligned with current best practice and exceed quality and delivery expectations for the targeted Corning employee population
Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Partners with managing employee climate surveys, including annual sample Corporate Values survey and bi-annual census BU surveys

o    Acts as the first point of contact for internal customers
o    Monitors survey vendor interactions
o    Helps to create/design surveys with the goal of impacting continuous organizational improvement

  • Supports implementation of key processes:

o    Performance Management (MBO, continuous feedback, performance appraisal)
o    Career Management (My Development)
o    Values/culture assessment support
o    Organizational diagnosis and change
o    OE consulting on request, including assistance with identifying external resources (e.g. team-building and other interventions)

  • Conducts value added research and analytics

o    Research and data analysis for WD&L processes, e.g., surveys, learning programs, performance management, career management
o    Understands ERP data systems
o    Creates reports as needed
Project involved with:
In addition to the on-going initiatives stated in the day to day responsibilities, this role will be heavily involved with a performance management process improvement project. Other projects will be identified and aligned with the skills and experiences of the person.
Travel Requirements: Domestic ~5% - for client consulting and conference attendance

  • Bachelor’s Degree (required) in a relevant field
  • Graduate Degree (preferred, e.g., IO Psychology, Organization Development)


  • 5-7 years of experience in relevant areas of the role
  • 2+ years Internal consulting experience as part of a COE (preferred)
  • 2+ years External consulting experience (desired)
  • Subject Matter Expertise in 2 or more of the following areas: Survey Design and Delivery, Data Analysis and Reporting, Performance Management, Organizational Effectiveness, Leadership or Organization Assessment.
  • Global experience (desired)
