Position Summary:
The Procurement Manager’s critical responsibilities include leading cross functional teams in the resolution of product supply issues, driving results on a worldwide basis, negotiating total cost of contracted products and services, execution of supply agreements, achievement of monthly plan attainment goals, and identification/delivery of Cost Improvement Projects (CIPs). In addition the Procurement Manager is the single point of contact in the development of sourcing strategies to improve site performance and product supply, coordination of new product launches at external operations sites, Develop business continuity plans as a means to insure continued supply of product and ensure quality and customer service objectives are achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
• Effectively lead, develop, and enable the Sourcing & Purchasing Organizations to achieve strategic objectives. 
• Develop a negotiation strategy that delivers against business objectives and achieves sustainable relationships with suppliers. 
• Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and exploit emerging opportunities 
• Manages major projects as assigned to the Sourcing & Purchasing Department. 
• Ability to manage projects with multiple sites across various functions with a global perspective. 
• Act as a liaison between employees, internal support areas and other departments. 
• Ensure difficult/sensitive problems are properly escalated in a timely and appropriate manner. 
• Understand compliance issues and their impacts on provisions by ensuring confidentiality/legal/internal controls requirements are being met. 
• Effectively responds to non-standard inquiries and requests yet maintains compliance to the formal process. 
• Proficient and effective implementation of change management. 
• Maintain a positive results oriented attitude that promotes teamwork with peers, subordinates, commercial, plants & other support areas and suppliers while driving significant change. 
• Stay abreast of Best Practice, current / future policies and procedures, regulatory / trade requirements, and market dynamics appropriate to function. 
• Achieve financial goals of the Procurement Organization. 
• Other miscellaneous duties as assigned 
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science degree in a Business or a technical field. MBA preferred; 
• ISM, CPM or APICS certification preferred 
• 10+ years experience in Supply Chain Management within a manufacturing environment. 
• Experience with lean manufacturing business systems that include Kan Ban and VOMI programs 
• Experience working with Tier I and Tier II Contract Manufacturers in both domestic and low cost regions.
