A lectureship is available for an outstanding and ambitious individual to undertake innovative research and teaching in Plant Reliability and Maintenance Engineering within the School of Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering.
Educated to PhD or equivalent level, you will have an established or developing (depending on the grade applied for) research track record of publication in high quality journals with research interests in one or more aspects of plant maintenance including maintenance model and organisation, maintenance outage, applied condition monitoring, plant auditing, maintenance in design to improve plant reliability and reduce maintenance downtime.
Applicants must have substantial industrial experience in maintenance engineering. For applicants for the senior positions, you will need to demonstrate an international reputation in research and leadership. Expertise may be in teaching or training of senior professionals already working in maintenance and reliability areas.
You should have appropriate experience in undergraduate and post-graduate teaching, assessment and administration, particularly small classes of senior professionals already working in industries, large undergraduate classes and the supervision of group and individual projects at doctoral, masters and undergraduate level.
You will have strong communications and organisational skills and be capable of team working in a collegial environment.
