Job description:

A five-year position as associate professor in musculoskeletal epidemiology and biostatistics is vacant to be filled as soon as possible at the Institute of Sports Science and Clinical Biomechanics, Research Unit for Clinical Biomechanics.

The associate professorship will be based in the Research Unit for Clinical Biomechanics, but will function as part of the infrastructure of the Institute of Sports Science and Clinical Biomechanics. The associate professor will therefore be expected to provide methodological and bio-statistical support broadly at the institute. Assignments will include advice and supervision of Ph.D. students as well as advice to senior researchers with special focus on statistical matters. In addition, the associate professor will be expected to give advice and carry out analyses of data for senior researchers as well as running his or her own research projects within the field of musculoskeletal epidemiology.

The employment will involve close collaboration with the statistical research unit at the faculty including presence and participation in seminars at the unit.

The applicant must have a Ph.D degree in either epidemiology and/or biostatistics and experience in publication at the highest international level. Furthermore, experience in a broad range of methodologies and analytical methods will be expected including both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. A track record of international collaboration and grant writing will be advantageous.

An expert committee, appointed by the university, will assess all the applications, and the applicants will individually be informed of their assessment by the university.

Appointment will take place according to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations, AC.
