The Management Studies Group (MST) at Wageningen University has a vacancy for a Tenure Track Assistant Professor in the area of innovation and entrepreneurship in chains and networks. In a challenging career trajectory you are, as Assistant Professor, responsible for the acquisition, organization and coordination of new research activities. In this position you will also be motivating and teaching students and develop new courses. Main tasks will be to:
conduct scientific research to be published in refereed top-scientific journals;
teach business and business economics courses and specific courses in innovation and entrepreneurship in chains and networks;
acquire, coordinate and implement (inter)national research projects in the area of innovation and entrepreneurship in chains and networks;
supervise BSc, MSc and PhD students;
fulfil management tasks, specifically related to data management.
Training and coaching is provided to accomplish all this.
As Assistant Professor you are an ambitious and enthusiastic scientist, devoted to research and education in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship in chains and networks. You also have:
a background in and experience with empirical research in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship in chains and networks;
a PhD-degree in business administration and/or business economics or a related area;
good didactic qualities and enthusiasm for teaching and working with students;
a vision on research and project acquisition opportunities;
interest in working in interdisciplinary teams with scientists of the technical departments;
excellent communication skills and a team player.
You are committed to learn Dutch (for non-Dutch speaking candidates) within 3 years of appointment.

We offer you as talented scientist a challenging career trajectory called Tenure Track. From the position of Assistant Professor you can grow into a Professor holding a Personal Chair. Of course training and coaching are provided and interdisciplinary (international) cooperation is stimulated. You will also be given the chance to build up your own research line. As we will only be selecting outstanding candidates to take part in Tenure Track, this will be a good stepping stone to a further career within Wageningen UR or elsewhere.
We offer you a temporary contract for 38 hours per week, which can lead to a permanent employment contract. Gross Salary: from € 45,483 to € 62,272 yearly, based on full time employment and dependent on expertise and experience.
