Scope of Position (i.e. projects involved with and role within group):
Summer internship opportunity to work with and support the quality assurance department through project work in the following areas:
• Designing reports to improve data availability and accuracy
• Developing & documenting processes to streamline workflows
• Completing other projects as assigned

Day to Day Responsibilities:
• Complete projects as assigned within the quality department.
• Support day to day quality issues in manufacturing by gathering, reporting, and analyzing quality and production data.

Travel Requirements (please note if international):
• less than 5%

Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time:
• 8:00 am until 5:00 pm with some off-hours support

Required Education (minimum required for consideration):
• Sophomore or Junior in college
• Majoring in industrial management or engineering
• Grade point average: >3.0/4.0

Required Years and Area of Experience (minimum required for consideration):
• none

Required Skills (These are skills that candidates MUST possess):
• Proficient with MS Excel
• Proficient with MS Word
• Able to create a presentation in MS power point and present to a group
• Data analysis & statistics – ability to draw conclusions
• Technically curious, hard worker, ability to articulate information
• Logical, data-based, analytical approach to solving problems

Desired Skills (These are skills that would be nice for candidates to possess):
• Experience with statistical analysis software (SPC Excel or mini-tab)
• Understand root cause analysis processes such as 5 Why
• Familiar with and comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
