CEH has recently been awarded a major contract to monitor and evaluate the Welsh countryside and the impact of specific agri-environment measures.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed project finance and project support officer to work at CEH Bangor. 50% of the role will be providing administrative support to the project manager of the AXIS II Monitoring and Evaluation Programme and the remaining 50% of the role is to provide finance system support for staff at CEH Bangor.
The post holder will be working with internal and external parties to organise, track progress and report on the major project components. They will also be responsible for maintaining accurate administrative records and ensure minutes are captured and published for each meeting.
• 50% project support to include:
o Providing administrative support to the Project Manager and the wider project team, including arrangements and administration for project board, stakeholder and team meetings.
o Administration of project files and management of a centralised filing system.
o Acting as the configuration librarian, managing project documentation to PRINCE2 standards, maintaining standards and processes for reporting, monitoring, planning, change control and change management.
o Providing a first point of contact for external enquiries.
• 50% project finance/admin working to:
o Assist project managers to create, amend, manage and complete project finance/admin records
o Provide training and advice to CEH Bangor staff on CEH project/finance related systems
o Provide financial information/reporting to Section Head/Decision Support Accountant/Project Managers
• Administration experience in a project environment and experience of working with budgets is essential. You will also have excellent organisational and communication skills and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• A good working knowledge of the Microsoft suite including Excel, Word,PowerPoint.
• A working knowledge of PRINCE2 would be desirable – however training can be provided.
• Spoken Welsh is desirable but not essential.
