Opening For Institutional Biosafety Committee Protocol Reviewer : Blacksbur

 As the Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) Protocol Reviewer, under the supervision of the IBC Administrator and IBC committee, responsibilities will include the review of protocols submitted to the IBC, conducting annual reviews of active protocols and reviewing amendments to active protocols.
Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to monitoring IBC protocols to ensure that the performance of experiments and the physical lab facilities are in accordance with approved IBC protocols and federal regulations; conducting random and for-cause audits of documents and procedures involving infectious agents, recombinant DNA, animals, and plants; investigating reported issues; informing the IBC of protocol/investigator non-compliance activities; assisting the Biosafety Officer in the reporting of non-compliance activities to the NIH/OBA.
To be successful as the Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) Protocol Reviewer, you are expected to possess effective communication skills; experience with computerized database management programs, electronic file storage and database operation; and experience in handling confidential material with the ability to analyze, prioritize and solve procedural problems effectively in a team setting.
