The School of Biosciences at the University of Birmingham is one of the largest in the UK, focused on four interlinked themes and underpinned by state-of-the-art facilities: BioSystems and Environmental Change; Microbiology & Infection; Molecular Cell Biology & Signalling; and Plant Genetics & Cell Biology. 
 
As part of a strategic expansion, we are seeking an outstanding research leader with a strong research background to take up a Chair in Molecular Toxicology.  Applicants conducting science that is both basic and applied are sought to expand our programme in mechanistic environmental toxicology, with a focus on comparative genomics, high-throughput biology and/or Systems Biology approaches, applied to established model organisms.
