21st Annual Spring Brain Conference

21st Annual Spring Brain Conference
SBC will be held at the Omni Hotel in Tucson, AZ, March 17-20, 2010.
The goal is to stimulate
neuroscientists to share ideas across broad areas of neuroscience. The
primary objective of each session should be to introduce the audience to
what is interesting and important in a field while emphasizing key
research areas and new findings. The program will include a dozen
non-competing plenary sessions, plenary lectures by leading scientists,
and a poster session. Scientific outreach to underserved students in
local schools and their communities will precede the meeting.

Scientific sessions are planned for 7:00 am to Noon (3/18-20). The
opening reception and poster session will be held on the evening of
3/17; the annual SBC banquet and plenary lecture(s) will be held on
3/19. Posters will be viewed in the vendor exhibit area. Afternoons
are available for informal interaction and the many attractions in
Tuscon. For example, daily golf outings or tournaments and group hiking
will be organized.

Plenary session proposals should be sent to Dr. Katie Harris

(katiecellist@gmail.com) by 8/31/09. Short sessions with 2-3 diverse
speakers from different institutions are encouraged. One page proposals
should contain a session title, name/affiliation/email of the organizer
and speaker(s), title for each talk of less than 20 minutes, and a 200
word abstract summarizing the session’s goal and issues each speaker
will address. The Program Committee will promptly evaluate proposals
and finalize the program for distribution in the October Call for
Registration.
