Can prolactin be considered as a biomarker in Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus

Immunostimulatory action of hPRL has been observed among specific and non-specific organ based autoimmunity development. Recent studies have been reported rise in prolactin level in T1D patients leading to a state called hyperprolactinemia during early phase (pre-diabetes). Has any attempt made in evaluation of this molecule as a candidate biomarker in autoimmune diabetes or any other type of diabetes?

Hi, I'm sorry I didn't quite know the answer. But I think you may ask the experts from the company who provides biomarker service. This one would be a good choice! http://www.creativebiomart.net/Biomarker-Service.htm
