Would you participate in a Statistics forum?
We could put one Topic under the General category, or we could start a statistics forum in all the categories in which it makes sense to have one.
All for it - though I hope there are some members who routinely deal with different aspects. With me (and i suspect the majority of "biology background" biologists), its something that just has to be done - usually with an open textbook as an expt is designed!
I'd love a constructive statistics forum. It's always good to know which test to run for you expts and sometimes is is not always clear.
I think it would be really helpful. The appropriated statistical analysis, basic information on statistics, need for considering a "significant statistical difference" when you don't have any "biological significance"; it would be all items that we could discuss about it.
I think a Statistics forum would be exceptionally handy.
I know its a very old thread and I think I participated in similar poll somewhere but I am so anxious to learn statistic, I don't mind voting for it again :-)
I support it 100%. I think a healthy statistics discussion is p<0.00001.
I would definitely participate. I love stats!
