Help with Standard Curve in qPCR

  Hi everyone,

I'm trying to develop and validate a qPCR for a bacteria and I am not familiar with this techinique.

Please, could someone tell me why there is points (samples) upper the standard dilutions?

I really appreciate your help!!!!
Thanks
Carol

Hi Carol,

Hi Carol,

I am not familiar with data points beyond the serial dilution data points used to create a standard curve. Maybe you have unknown data points that happen to show up beyond your standard curve, or the software you are using shows by default points beyond your standard curve, maybe to depict standard deviations beyond the linear range of your standard curve.

If you have not read the manual, I would take a quick look and see if these points beyond your standard dilutions are meant to be there or not. The software I have used, from Applied Biosystems, Roche and Eppendorf, do not show these points by default.
