My aim is to study the role of signals produced by activating a RTK in a breast cancer cell line. to do so I don't want the activated receptors to be down regulated and missesd from the cells due to continuous stimulation of them.
My question is that wheather pulsatile stimulation of this receptor tyrosine kinase would be a rationale substitute to continuous stimulation in order to avoid receptor down regulation and allow it to be activated in new rounds of activation and If yes, is there any practical way to choose the duration of ligand exposure and intervals of no stimulation?
Many thanks for helping me find my answer
