Description: The Division of Hematology at Duke University Medical Center (DUMC) has an NIH funded position to study animal models of an immune mediated thrombotic disorder (Heparin-Induced Thrombocytopenia).  Our funded work investigates  the cellular basis of the PF4/heparin immune response,including:  1) mechanisms of antigen presentation and uptake of macromolecular antigenic complexes 2) in vivo/ex vivo cellular responses to PF4/heparin antigen and 3) and role of regulatory T cells.

Requirements: Qualifications include a recent MD, PhD or MD/PhD degree and significant scientific and/or applied background in immunology.
