Role Description

We are seeking to hire a highly motivated scientist with demonstrated expertise in tumor immunology to join the Oncology Research Unit. This person will characterize the activity of bi-specific redirected T-cell molecules in tumor-bearing immunocompetent mice, and explore the impact of the various immune cell subsets on T-cell mediated activity within the tumor microenvironment.

Responsibilities

Perform cell based studies to characterize the activity of surrogate bi-specific redirected T-cell molecules.

Design and implement in vivo studies to measure anti-tumor activity of bi-specific redirected T-cell molecules in immunocompetent mice.

Explore mechanisms of resistance to bi-specific redirected T-cell activity within the tumor micro environment.

Determine contribution of epitope spreading to bi-specific redirected T-cell activity in vivo.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

•PhD in Immunology, Cancer Biology or related field with an immunology related focus
•Understanding of disease settings, targets, pathways and mechanisms of importance to immune response and tumorigenesis.
•Exemplary record of research, as evidenced by publications

Technical Skills Requirements:
•Significant experience maintaining tumor cell lines and primary lymphocytes in culture .
•Generation of stable cell lines that express proteins of interest.
•Demonstrated ability to design and perform relevant in vitro assays including, cytotoxic T-lymphocyte (CTL) activity, cytokine release, FACS, quantitative RT PCR, Western blot, ELISA, multiplex protein analysis, and magnetic cell separation.
•Hands on experience performing immunohistochemistry.
•Experience chararcterizing antibody binding domains is preferred.
•Excellent skills in written and oral communication and working in an interactive, collaborative and cross-functional research environment required.
