Opening For Two Contract Technicians - Teagasc

Location: Animal & Grassland Research and Innovation Centre, Animal and Bioscience Research Department, Teagasc, Grange, Dunsany, Co. Meath
 
Grade/Salary: Technician, with a starting salary of €26,950 per annum. The current salary scale is €26,950 to €37,373.         
Post Type: Temporary Externally Funded Non Grant-In-Aid Contract posts, the indicative duration of which is 12 months each, subject to contract.
 
Basic Function: The successful candidates will provide technical support (on-farm and laboratory-based) for the research programme in the area of beef cattle nutrition, production and meat quality.  The successful candidates will participate in a multi-partner project. The projects involve measuring feed intake, growth and production of beef cattle from contrasting diets/production systems. The work will be based primarily at Teagasc Grange.
 
Person Specification: Note: The ‘Essential’ qualifications, skills and knowledge outlined below are ‘must-have’ which will be used in the shortlisting process.
 
Candidates must have a Level 6 qualification in biological science, preferably animal science.
