my question is how to differentiate ds DNA, RNA and ssDNA, RNA through base composition?
IS THE NUCLEIC ACID COMPOSITION WILL BE SAME THERE(adenine, guanine, cytosine ,thymine and uracil)..?
explain me pls...
In ds DNA, the amount of pyrimidines will equal the amount of purines, further, A%=T%, G%=C%.
This is becoz, Purines on one strand hydrogen bond with pyrimidines on the other.
In ss DNA, this need not be the case and the same with ss RNA..
