This course provides training in the theory and practice of maintaining mouse colonies for production and research. This program is designed for scientists, colony managers, animal care technicians and students requiring an understanding of issues relating to the management of animal research and production colonies.

An expanded four-day version of this colony management course is being offered April 13-17 in Bar Harbor, Maine. courses.jax.org/2009/colony_barharbor09.html
Course meets the requirements for continuing education credit in jurisdictions that recognize the AAVSB RACE approval; participants should be aware, however, that some boards have limitations on the number of hours accepted in certain categories and/or restrictions on certain methods of delivery of continuing education.
This course may also be used for AALAS certification credit.
