We are seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious veterinary graduate to take up a Senior Clinical Training Scholarship (SCTS) in Veterinary Anaesthesia & Analgesia at Bristol Veterinary School. You will have at least one year’s post graduation experience (either in practice or a rotating internship). The training programme is approved by the European College of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia (ECVAA). You will receive your training whilst working in a team of six senior anaesthetists, three SCTCs and 2 nurses.

 
This Scholarship is available from April 20th 2015 and is tenable for three years, subject to satisfactory annual review of progress.

Candidate requirements:

  The scholarship training programmes require full participation in the School’s clinical services, including the out-of-hours rota, in addition to small-group teaching of veterinary students. Scholars will be expected to complete a clinical research project and submit their results for publication in peer reviewed scientific journals during the scholarship training.
Applicants for SCTSs must be a Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, or hold a veterinary degree qualifying them for membership. Starting Stipend (tax free): £17,564 per annum. Out of hours duties attract an additional stipend.
