i am currently doing by B.Sc Biotechnology.in my final year research i m encountering some problems.my topic is Antimicrobial Screening inOrgans and Tissues of Snakehead Fish (Channa Striatus}. I followed Kirby-Bauer Technique using few organs such as kidney ,liver,blood,meats,gills,scale,skin,ovary, and intestine.but the result were obtained which no inhibition in all the organs using acidic extraction.
An organic solvent in acidic condition was used in the preparation of crude extracts.
so can i know any possible reasons why there is no inhibition zone in alll the organs?
