wobble of seal test

I am patching mammalin cell lines.  Recently I found that when the pipette touches the cell, the graph of seal test wobbles greatly, I mean not the number of resistance wobble, which was change little, just the graph especially the part of flat roof wobble most greatly.  I did not give cell much pressure and my pipette is not very thin. why this happen?
 please help me

Dear Zhangxu04

Dear Zhangxu04
A wobbling baseline during a seal test is a sure sign that you have advanced the pipette too far and you are actually pressing down through the cell onto the base of the coverslip.
Are you patching "thin" cells like CHO K1's?
