Hi everyone,My icpms suddently can't ignite. The error message said " plasms gas flow controller failure". Anybody have any ideas? Thank you!
I am running a DRCII, and my instrument went down last week with the same error as well. I tried a long list of troubleshooting on the instrument that ended with me swapping parts from another instrument, but that did not work. I'm waiting on a call back from a PE Service Engineer. If you have already solved your issue, please let me know how you did it. Thanks
Update: After talking with the PE service engineer, I increased the argon pressure on the regulator on the back of the instrument from 55-60psi to 70 psi. The instrument completed the ignition sequence perfectly. The real problem was low argon pressure, but the instrument threw a plasma gas flow controller failure - making it seems like a big problem.
Hi Chirstie, did you have any problems with the slide valve? Thanks
We simply increased the Argon pressure and It has no problem to ignite at all.
