carbon load and linearity

Dear all,
i would like to know how linearity and carbon load is related for particular compound of interest. if i use Standard A to H, and i find bending of curve starting from G, n i go for c18 column with more carbon loading, whether it will solve my issue. i need to understand it in deetail. please help me out

Carbon load and linearity are

Carbon load and linearity are not directly related.  Linearity problems are usually caused by the detector - when the signal becomes too large, the response is not linear with concentration.  This is called detector saturation.

Higher carbon load will probably increase retention, which might make the peaks wider and shorter, but this will usually not have much affect on linearity.
