Cyanide Analysis via Lachat Method

Due to some changing regulations in our state we are going to have to adjust our method on the Lachat to detect at a lower level (0.004 mg/L) than the Lachat method calls for (0.005 mg/L).  Since our analyst goes down to 0.001 mg/L for his MDL studies, we know that lowering our calibration range should not pose any issues.  I am just curious if anyone else out there who is doing cyanide analysis in waters and wastewaters, goes lower than 0.005 mg/L on their curve using the Lachat method and if so, were there any specific studies or validation procedures that you carried out before altering the method?
