A query on flouresence of Dansyl hydrazine

Dear scientists,
I Am Anand . Am a researcher in Biochemistry. I request you to kindly help me out in one chemistry problem.

Will Dansyl hydrazine possess different fluorescent properties when in conjugation with different compounds like difference in 21c steroid compounds, 19c steroid compounds, difference in flouresence between steroid and non steroid compounds etc.?

If not, then by flouresence preferably by using Dansyl hydrazine, how can I distinguish the fluorescence of steroid substrate and steroid product without  separating them.

Kindly reply and help me in this regard. Thanking you.

Yours sincerely
Anand

Dyes usually change

Dyes usually change fluorescent properties when conjugated with other molecules. If you bind a dye to DNA, dye fluorescence often decreases and there are small shifts of emission and absorbance wavelengths. I guess that you will observe similar changes when you bind the steroid to a dye.
I am concerned that the steroid chemical structure is similar to many quenchers. I would not be surprised if it quenches dye fluorescence.
How can you detect changes in steroid? I would try to make steroid fluorescent using modifications. The chemical reaction that you try to detect should change energetic levels of conjugated pi-orbitals. These orbitals are typically responsible for fluorescence.
I wish you all best,
Richard

Dear Sir,

Dear Sir,
Thanks for your reply. Can you suggest any other fluorescent dye that helps me to differentiate 21c steroid substrate and 19c steroid product. Thank you.
Regards
Anand
