Morality and stem cell research

In the wake of the presidential decision to provide federal funding for stem cell research, I am posting an article by Michel J Sandel, a Harvard professor and member of the President's Council on Bioethics from the New England Journal of Medicine. It was written in 2004 and makes some very interesting points on the ethical debate about embryonic stem cell research, focusing in on arguements about treating an embryo as a human being and the potential for research abuse.

That is true, there is a potential for research abuse, as much there is potential for anything else. I don't agree with the critics - that is just my opinion :)
