I study the involvement of membrane transport in metabolic processes in neuronal and glial tissue in normal and pathological brain using  ion-selective electrophysiological measurements and imaging techniques combined with molecular and cell biology methods  in neuronal and astrocytic cultures and hippocampal slices.
