About My Research

Postdoctorate, 2003-2005

My Postdoctorate was done under the mentoring of Prof. Cuervo A.M., Albert Einstein Collage of Medicine, Bronx, N.Y.

In my work I used Molecular biology techniques i.e., Proteomic techniques such as 2D-PAGE to study the changes in 2D-electrophoretic patterns of different lysosomal subcompartments of rat liver under different conditions. I am also trying to identify consistent changes in those patterns with changes in chaperone mediated autophagy (CMA) activity and to identify/analyze the changing proteins by mass spectrometry procedures in aging and Alzheimer disease animal models (liver tissue and cell cultures).

Senior Postdoctorate, November 2005

Drug research in the field of Cystic Fibrosis. Study of the Heat shock chaperone CFTR complex, both W-CFTR and DF508-CFTR
